A UK-based fishing tackle retailer – celebrating its 40th year in business – has reopened following what it descried as a ‘devastating’ fire.
Keen’s Tackle and Guns, from Aberkenfig, South Wales, suffered an electrical fire in the fishing department in November 2016. Following this, the team at the family-run store took the opportunity to overhaul the lay-out and design of the high street shop, offering customers more space, increased choice of product and a significantly extended carp fishing section.
The newly designed store is fitted with state-of-the-art displays, LED lighting and a newly expanded open-plan lay-out that is customer-focused to guide anglers through the range of stock on offer.
Owner Jeff Keen said: “After the destruction by fire, we are very pleased to finally reopen and re-establish our presence, offering new and existing customers the chance to explore our comprehensive range of specialist fishing equipment and clothing.
“The new lay-out is designed to create welcoming and easy-to-navigate space with our extremely experienced team on hand to offer advice and information on the best products to suit their requirements.”
